HELPING OTHERS TO GROW

In my profession, you meet many wonderful people from all walks of life. Helping many individuals from vastly different backgrounds and occupations has been fabulous.

It was my calling card to help one unique client, whom I’ll anonymously call Anna. She bravely escaped her native country and all the nightmares she had endured and emigrated to Australia 6 years ago. She came to me with a goal: to document herself in writing to get work to help her daughter and family back home and survive in a not-so-happy relationship here in Australia.

It was an experience for me like no other because, unbeknown to me, Anna’s identity had been lost, torn apart, and left behind in the tortures that she endured in her native homeland. Anna had endured harassment, degradation, and torments of sexual abuse. So, sorting through her past was like unwrapping bandages only to reveal a raw and fighting soul underneath.

I finally captured Anna’s unique personal brand, which resonated with resilience, integrity, and determination, and her whole identity now screamed out in her new resume. Her happiness and overwhelming gratitude made this experience very memorable.

Happy to report that Anna’s new resume successfully got her shortlisted, and she took on a fantastic role as a legal secretary, now working for a partner in a well-established NSW law firm. With her new citizenship coming up, the sky is the limit for Anna, and her dreams can become a reality.
